It's the last day of classes! I can't tell you how happy I am about that. All that is left to finish are your finals. That you are probably stressing out about. I have always thought that finals come at the wrong time of the year... It's getting warm out, there are end of the year activities, and all you can think about it summer (which is obviously why they are called finals). But along with finals you have about a zillion other things on your mind, projects due before hand, performances, and your summer plans (jobs, internships).
With everything on your mind during those last weeks of school, it is important to relieve or handle your stress. The first way to handle your stress is to decide whether or not you are actually suffering from stress.
Signs of Stress:
-Anxiety -Back Pain -Depression -Headaches -Fatigue -Insomnia -Upset Stomach -Weight loss or gain
If you have any of these signs, you might want to try some different techniques to relieve it. If you have stress and it causes these things, you will not be able to concentrate as well as you should on extremely important tasks, like acing your finals!
Relieving Stress:
-Don't worry about things you can't control
-Prepare as much as you can for stressful events
-Set realistic goals for certain things (school, work, etc)
-Exercise on a regular basis
-Eat well balanced meals
-Get a good amount of sleep REGULARLY
So, don't let the stress get to you. Before you know it, you'll be relaxing by the pool in the warm sun.
HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!!!
